1) Pray for peace in Colombia. There is so much emotion in the air right now regarding the four-year long peace process, referendum votes and plebiscites attempting to end a six-eight year civil war that has gone on far too long. For some great news juxtaposed learning lessons for us all clic here.
2) We are back in Colombia now following an emotionally exhausting time in the States over the summer, a trip we refer to as “Reconnect and Establish” as our main goal was to establish JJ in the USA for his subsequent life chapter. We're happy to say he's living with a fabulous family in Whittier, CA and looking for a job, making friends and establishing roots. Please pray JJ finds a great job in the next few weeks (clic here for more info).
3) We have been granted a 'Stateside Assignment' for 2017 that will begin early 2017. We think we will reunite with JJ at that time, but he will not travel with us across the country as we travel in my parent’s RV during what will be a very busy year. We hope to blog our entire trip with invitations to pray and/or visit us along the way. Ask God to open many ministry doors for us.
4) We hope to purchase a good dependable vehicle over the holidays to pull behind the RV. Please pray for the necessary funds for this to take place.
5) This 'Stateside Assignment' is coming precisely at the right time in our lives as our support is waning (clic here for more info). We had asked God to help us make it financially through the summer and he answered our prayers; this past month October was our first month of living on a “what comes in” monthly payroll that left us $1,000.oo in the red. Praise God we’ll have 2017 to trust Him to supply new fresh ministry support, as well as strengthen our wonderful long-term ministry financial partners. Pray to God that He grant us favor before His gracious and generous children who might wish to become ministry partners with us in prayer and finance.
6) Finally, although we have been granted this important 'Stateside Assignment’ I will nevertheless travel back and forth to Colombia next year to respond to invitations to teach ‘Perspectives' and an 'Intro. to Islam' course, both to be offered in Medellín as prerequisites for a Middle Eastern practicum sometime in 2017 or 18. We have prayed for just such an opportunity in one of Colombia's prestigious seminaries and it seems God may be opening the door! I will therefore travel itinerantly back and forth throughout 2017.

Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, O LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence, 2 Chronicles 6:19.
